The NASA Research Announcement was targeted at reaching graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who were already starting a career as science researchers in the Life and Physical Sciences disciplines. Proposals included innovative ideas for microgravity research specifically in the areas of physical sciences, microbiology and space physiology.
