First patient dosed in spinal cord injury stem cell trial

Neuralstem reports that the first patient was treated last week in the Phase 1 trial assessing NSI-566 human neural stem cells for the treatment of chronic spinal cord injury . The trial will involve four patients with thoracic spinal cord injuries who will receive stem cell transplants directly into the region of injury, between one and two years post injury.
