Neuralstem Phase I trial starts in San Diego

Neuralstem Inc., of Germantown, a biotechnology company, announced that the first patient was treated last week in the Phase I trial testing its NSI-566 human neural stem cells for chronic spinal cord injury. The trial occurred at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, and the patient has been discharged from the hospital.
