Novato-based Buck Institute to refinance $80 million bond

The Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Novato is refinancing an $80 million bond it issued to institutional investors years ago to build its campus and its stem cell center. The center received a variable interest rate on its original $80 million loan and is refinancing to get a fixed rate.
