Mirror-image nucleic acids as molecular scissors in biotechnology and molecular medicine
The biochemist Professor Volker A. Erdmann at Freie Universitat Berlin succeeded for the first time in creating mirror-image enzymes -- so-called Spiegelzymes -- out of nucleic acids.
