Hepatitis A hospitalization rate declines in U.S.

The rate of hospitalization due to hepatitis A virus infection has significantly declined in the U.S. from 2002 to 2011, new research shows. Findings show that older patients and those with chronic liver disease are most likely to be hospitalized for HAV.
