Jacksonville VisionWalk goal: $100,000 to fund blindness research

Hundreds of people touched by vision loss will rally to fight blindness at the free Jacksonville 5K VisionWalk on April 26. Their goal will be to raise $100,000 to support promising gene therapy, stem cell and pharmaceutical-based research that could save and even restore sight, according to a news release.
