Hansen: If Ray Kurzweil is right, the future is closer than we think

Ray Kurzweil, shown in a 2005 photo, is Google's director of engineering. He was in Omaha last week for a University of Nebraska-sponsored event called "Building the 22nd Century" at which he spoke about the future.
