That is true in the sense that some 3,000 cyclists who will ride anywhere from 12 to 176 miles through Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties this Saturday and Sunday won't be vying for places at their respective finish lines. But Dr. Stephen Nimer, director of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center that benefits from the charity event, makes it clear that the riders are indeed taking part in a very important race.
