Results support the safety and efficacy of high-dose Captisol-enabled -Melphalan as a high-dose conditioning treatment prior to autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma . Overall Response Rate improved from 79% at study entry to 95% after CE-Melphalan and AHCT; Complete Response Rate increased from 10 to 31%.
