Stem cell-based therapy for type 2 diabetes shows promise

In a new study published in the journal Stem Cell Reports , researchers reveal how a combination of stem cell transplantation and antidiabetic medication successfully treated mice with type 2 diabetes. This image shows the transplanted pancreatic beta cells derived from human embryonic stem cells.
